General Policies
1.1 Editorial Policy
Manuscripts of research papers/articles that contain new and significant findings on basic and applied aspects of crop plants are welcome. The journals are reluctant to accept papers submitted more than four years after the end of the relevant experimental work.
1.2 Submission of manuscripts
Authors submitting manuscripts for publication in CR or ROC warrant that the contents have not been simultaneously submitted or published in any other journal. The materials contained in manuscripts should not be subjected to any other copyright.
i) Manuscripts should be submitted via electronic mail to the Editor-in-chief at : md@cropresearch.org
ii) Alternately, two hard copies of manuscripts alongwith electronic copy in CD should be sent by registered post to the Managing Editor, ARIC, Systematic Printers, Near Video Market, Hisar-125 001, Haryana India.
iii) Manuscripts should be typed in double space on one side of white bond paper (A4 size) leaving at least 3 cm margins.

1.3 Refereeing Process
Manuscripts submitted to CR or ROC are reviewed by the members of Editorial Board or any other expert referee(s) chosen by the Editor-in-chief.
1.4 Style: Guidelines
The manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the style of CR or ROC. Subscribe recent issue of CR or ROC for style of papers.
1.5 Facts Expressed in Manuscripts
The CR or ROC takes no responsibility for facts or the opinions expressed in manuscripts, which rests entirely with the authors.
1.6 Page Printing Charges
All the authors whose papers accepted for publication in CR or ROC are required to pay page printing charges. The amount of printing charges is generally conveyed to authors along with the acceptance letter of the manuscript.
1.7 Incentives to Authors
A best author award named as Gaurav Award (citation) is given in a calendar year to the author(s) whose article(s) published in CR or ROC is/are found best by the expert referees.
2. Preparation of Manuscripts
The manuscripts of full papers/short communications should be arranged in the following order :
2.1 Cover page
The cover page should contain concise but self explanatory title, typed in double space with capital letters. In addition, a short running title should also be given and typed on top of the cover page of the manuscript. Byline should contain in addition to the name(s) and initials of the author(s), the name of the institution where the research was carried out. Change of address should be given as a footnote. The abstract should be followed by not more than eight Key words in alphabetical order.
2.2 Text Headings
The text of full papers/articles should be prepared with the headings. INTRODUCTION, MATERIALS AND METHODS and RESULTS AND DISCUSSION. Short Communication should follow the style of papers/articles with text headings omitted, except ABSTRACT.
2.3 Tables
Type each table on separate page. The data given in tables should not be repeated in figures. Tables should be numbered and must have titles.
2.4. Figures
The figures should be drawn with black ink on good quality white paper. The lettering must be done with the help of stencils of matching size. Figures should be numbered and must have titles.
2.5 Photographs
For reproduction, the photographs should be glossy prints with dark and light contrasts. Coloured photographs are also considered for publication.
2.6 Aknowledgements
The ACKNOWLEDEMENTS, if any should be in brief.
2.7 References
The references should appear in a REFERENCES list at the end of the manuscript. All references should be arranged alphabetically by the name of the first author and then, if required, by the second and third author and so on (surname precedes initials), year of publication, title of paper/article, abbreviated title of journal in accordance with the latest edition of the World List of Scientific Periodicals, volume number (double underlined), colon and page range. If there is more than one publication by the same author(s) in the same year, the letters 'a', 'b' and so on should be added after the year, both in text and in the list of references.
2.8 Printing in Italic or Gothic Forms
The letters or words to be printed in italic or gothic forms should be indicated by single and double underlining, respectively.
2.9 Galley Proofs
The galley proofs of papers/articles may be sent to authors for correcting typographical errors.
